The Forecast is Lookin' Good

Weekends in the summer make me feel like this...

and the forecast for Chicago is lookin' absolutely beautious!

4th of July weekend was the first weekend that actually felt like summer.

Summers in big girl world are not as fun.

So, that being said...I am taking full advantage of this sunny summer weekend by doing a few of my favorite things with my favorite people.

Like enjoying a ginormous cup of joe on a porch.

And then venturing over to one of the numerous farmer's markets that pop up every Saturday throughout Chicago, because I have been meaning to attend one of these for quite sometime and since I have absolutely no groceries in my apartment this weekend seems appropriate.

Followed by my weekly stop at my FAVORITE breakfast joint, Milk & Honey Cafe.

If you have never been, I highly recommend.

This place cooks up the most delicious, salty, sweet, crunchy, wonderful granola everrrrr.

Then it will probably be time to start the weekend with a summery drink.

and some sunshine.

I am also treating my little brother to the OAR/Citizen Cope concert on Saturday night, outside at my favorite venue - Northerly Island. Which excites me lots & lots!

It is a dreary day in Chicago, the kind that makes me want to curl up in bed all day and watch movie after movie - preferably with Lauren (bff) or Dave (bf), or the three of us together.

If I had the chance to design my dream home right at this moment, I would definitely take some advice from this chick, Amanda Nisbet.

Her rooms are super cool, retro, airy, feminine, and chic. I like her a lot.

Cool shades & bar chairs.

Love the lucite breakfast chairs with the dark wood table.

Yes, I would accept this as my sun porch.

Adorable, love the shelving.

Obsessed with the wicker stools and the blue tile on the wall.

I love this beachy dining room, especially those chairs! I neeeeeed them!
